England will be without prop Paul Hill and centre Joe Marchant for their two-Test tour of Argentina.

Hill is struggling with a neck injury and will remain at the Northampton Saints for rehabilitation while Marchant is suffering from a toe injury.

Eddie Jones has not yet called up replacements for the two sidelined players, but will confirm the final squad for the trip to Argentina on Monday, the day after they play the Barbarians at Twickenham.

Sale’s Denny Solomona is still an injury doubt with a “mid-foot sprain” but he is still optimistic of making the tour.

“I’m going to do some running rehab this week, and then I’m going back into camp on Monday and we’ll see how it goes from there,” Solomona said. “I’m not out of Argentina just yet, I’m doing everything in my power to make sure I make the trip. I’ve done all the necessary steps to get back in there.”
