Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed he will not be selling three-time European champions Toulon.

Boudjellal, who has bankrolled the Top 14 giants since 2006, suggested back in September that he was keen to sell the club citing his wish for “another life” and how tired he was of taking “hits every week”.

By October reports suggested a potential takeover was on the verge of completion but Boudjellal has decided to continue his role in charge of Toulon, who currently sit third in the Top 14.

“I’ve decided not to continue with the project to sell Toulon,” Boudjellal said. “I took the decision to stay last weekend.”
