2007 World Cup

Saracens will have their appeal against the 10-week suspension issued to England wing Chris Ashton heard in London on Wednesday, February 3.

Ashton was banned after being found guilty of making contact with the eye area of Ulster’s Luke Marshall in the Champions Cup victory at Allianz Park on January 16.

Saracens are hoping to reduce the length of the suspension which currently rules Ashton out of England’s entire RBS 6 Nations campaign.

The appeal will be heard on February 3 — just three days before England kick-off their Six Nations campaign against Scotland at Murrayfield — by an independent appeal committee comprising of Lorne Crerar (Scotland), chairman, Rod McKenzie (Scotland) and Roger Morris (Wales).
