ABC to broadcast highlights of 2010 USA Sevens

Just as American coverage of international rugby begins to fade, USA Sevens LLC announced today that ABC will broadcast the 2010 USA Sevens event from last weekend in Las Vegas.

The 1-hour highlights show will begin on Saturday, 20-Feb at 5PM EST / 2PM PT and, based on the advertisement, will likely highlight USA’s march to the Bowl final and Samoa’s Cup-winning performance.

TV Guide describes the program as follows:

Highlights of the USA Sevens, taped Feb. 13-14 in Las Vegas. The event features teams from 16 nations. (CC)

Although it’s only a 1-hour program, it’s always great to see domestic rugby programming, especially when the Six Nations has a bye week.
